About Bethesda Life Partners
Bethesda Life Partners (BLP) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that supports impactful, community-based charitable work through international grantmaking.
BLP raises funds in the United States and provides financial support to vetted nonprofit organizations working with vulnerable populations, with a focus on women’s empowerment, education, public health, and community protection.
Bethesda Life Partners is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support effective nonprofit organizations that address critical social needs through practical, evidence-based programs that promote dignity, opportunity, and long-term well-being.
We prioritize work that strengthens women, protects vulnerable communities, and expands access to education and economic opportunity.
What We Do
Bethesda Life Partners does not operate programs directly.
Instead, we provide financial support through grants to independent nonprofit organizations that are embedded in the communities they serve. All grants are reviewed and approved by the BLP Board of Directors and are disbursed at BLP’s discretion based on available donor funds.
Our role includes:
- Receiving and stewarding charitable donations
- Reviewing and approving grant proposals
- Providing grants for approved program areas
- Ensuring funds are used exclusively for charitable purposes
- Maintaining accountability through reporting and oversight
Our Program Focus Areas
Bethesda Life Partners currently supports the work of Bethesda Life Centre (BLC), a registered nonprofit organization in India. BLC operates the following four charitable programs, with a growing emphasis on women-centered services:
Project Sunflower
Project Sunflower provides care and support for underprivileged HIV-positive individuals in Goa. The program focuses on health access, basic needs support, and improving quality of life while promoting dignity and social inclusion.
Project Pearl
Project Pearl focuses on human trafficking prevention through education and awareness. The program works with schools, colleges, and community stakeholders to reduce vulnerability and increase understanding of exploitation risks and prevention strategies.
Kushal Mothi
Kushal Mothi is a skills training and livelihood program designed primarily for women affected by or at risk of exploitation. The program equips participants with practical, income-generating skills that support employment, entrepreneurship, and economic independence.
Rising Star
Rising Star provides educational support for young people pursuing higher education. The program began as learning support for children growing up in care environments and has evolved to support students—many now young adults—as they pursue college and vocational pathways.
Accountability & Stewardship
Bethesda Life Partners is committed to responsible stewardship of all donated funds.
- Grants are approved by the BLP Board of Directors
- Funding amounts and timing are determined by BLP
- Partner organizations provide regular financial and programmatic reports
- Funds are used solely for charitable purposes
- All activities comply with applicable U.S. and international regulations
